Abstract

COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) is the name of an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus infection. Despite the long duration of the ongoing pandemic, treatment options for COVID-19 remain modest. In this work, we present information on available and potential therapeutics belonging to different types of compounds. We also notice that the search for new strategies is, on the one hand, accelerated due to the availability of a large number of patients, but on the other hand, remember to critically verify the results of planned and conducted clinical trials.
