Vaccination is one of the simplest and the most effective way of protection against infectious diseases (viral and bacterial). They are a very safe method thanks to which anyone, from newborns to elderly people, can be vaccinated. Each newly developed and subsequently produced series of vaccines undergoes a series of tests confirming their effectiveness, safety and excluding the possibility of contamination. Research conducted on the introduction of new technologies continues in parallel with the attempts to decrease the production costs in order to make the vaccine available on an increasingly larger scale. A high percentage of society vaccinated achieved through the conscientious observance of the vaccination schedule is very important for obtaining herd immunity. As a consequence of the high percentage of immunization (about 90-95%), both vaccinated and unvaccinated are protected.
