Democracy enters the botanic gardens. In 2020 at the University of Warsaw Botanic Garden two participatory design projects were carried out. Their aim was to design educational offer for adult visitors and for children. Participants’ botanical knowledge varied, they had different interests. Some of the participants were employees of the Garden, some have never even visited the institution. The conducted projects, called InfOgród and InfOgrodek, were carried out under the design thinking methodology, and the participants took part in the subsequent stages of the design process. The sincere invitation to active participation resulted in more than a hundred ideas meeting the needs of the visitors. The article outlines the course of both projects, conclusions, plans and comments for the future.
